Presell page

Also called pre-sell page, pre-cart page.

A presell page sits between the ad and the product page. It uses curiosity and a unique mechanism to educate and build desire, then hands the warmed-up visitor to the sale. It teases the offer rather than hard-selling it.

What is the difference between a presell page and an advertorial?

The two overlap and the words are often used for the same page. The useful distinction: an advertorial earns the sale on the page, a presell page teases it and frames the next step, usually the product or sales page. Which you use depends on how cold the traffic is and how much the reader needs to understand before they act.

What does a presell page contain?

A curiosity-led hero, the problem framed from the reader's point of view, the mechanism that makes the solution believable, light proof, and a single click to the next step.
